You may have heard of single-payer. But if you haven’t, or if you haven’t heard enough, this is the place to be.
Single payer actually is shorthand for a publicly-financed universal health care system. “Universal” means it is accessible to every citizen and “publicly-financed” means it is tax-supported and publicly budgeted.
There’s a lot more to say about both. And this website will say it and explain it.
There is a lot of great stuff here. It is time we do this in Vermont and we all know that is the only way it is going to happen. Waiting for Washington is only going to waste our time and a good opportunity. We can’t afford not to change how we are doing things.
