The Herald

I was broken hearted when my physician, Dr. Barber, told me that she had been laid off. Our relationship has meant a great deal to me as I’ve navigate the elder years of my life. It has been a privilege to go to her with my questions and symptoms regarding any number of health issues. I’ve always left her office reassured and grateful for her help and advice.

Nothing can replace the friendship, connection, and professional care I have been given. No amount of practicality or profit can replace the comfort of being listened to and actually heard by a trusted care giver. It makes me sad for the future of humanity if this is the chosen path forward.

I hope in my heart of hearts that she can remain in her position and continue helping, healing and uplifting our community. She truly is the professional doctor we all love, need, and deserve.
