Brattleboro Reformer

Editor of the Reformer,

The folks who brought us One Care Vermont were well meaning.

Unfortunately, their work product has failed to meet its lofty goals.

It is neither cutting costs nor is it providing better health care outcomes.

Its latest projection is for a budget of $1.36 billion.

This budget puts survival of small hospitals, ancillary care organizations, and health care providers at grave financial risk.

The ACO (accountable care organizations) concept has been a failed concept in this country and overseas for years.
